INITIAL VISIT - HOME CONSULTATION

This Home Consultation allows us to really understand the scope of your project and gives us an opportunity to listen to your thoughts and ideas.  We can then advise on what is possible from both a planning and structural perspective while at the same time inputting some of our design ideas and experience. SURVEY & DESIGN BRIEF

Once commissioned our first step is to conduct a detailed electronic survey of your existing property. While this is taking place we'll sit down with you and go through exactly what you want us to design. We will discuss your ideas and aspirations, budget, likes and dislikes so that we are thoroughly equipped to then go away and start to design your new look home!

PREMIUM 3D DESIGN SERVICE

Most Holland and Green Clients then choose  our Premium Service. As a Premium Client your project will be designed entirely in 3D. Three dimensional design allows you to really understand  the finished look and feel through 3D animation and immersive 3D plans. In turn this allows Clients to address concerns and make changes far more easily than when working with traditional 2D planning drawings. Potentailly saving  thousands of pounds in changes during the build. 

STANDARD 2D DESIGN SERVICE

For those Clients who feel that they do not need the additional benefits of 3D Design, we are able to offer traditional Two Dimensional Design. While this will not offer the level of understanding and clarity that you would get from the Premium we feel that our 2D Design Service is of a higher standard than the competition. Premium Clients would also receive 2D plans in addition to the 3D Material.

PLANNING APPLICATION

Only once we have worked through any changes to the design identified during the design stage will we will be ready to submit to the Council Planning Department for your Planning or PD Application.  Our extensive knowledge of both Planning and PD Law ensures that chances of refusal are minimised. Once your plans have been submitted your Planning Manager will then liaise with Planning on your behalf and keep you updated on progress.

BUILDING REGS AND STRUCTURAL SPECS

While the Planning Application is focused on how the building will look, it is the Building Regulations Specification and Structural Specification that will define how it is to be constructed to comply with Building Control.  We will undertake this whole process and deal with all approvals - this detail is also supplied to the relevant checking authoriotes. We will also advise on any Party Wall and Build Over Agreements that might neeed to be issued.

TENDER PROCESS AND CONTRACTS ADMIN.

Building Regulations specify the elements required to Build your Project, the TP&CA breaks this down into the detail required to achive competitive 'like for like' quotations to your specification.  This process covers the detail of fixtures and fittings and introduces our network of selected builders into the mix.  This is hassle free extending and takes much of the angst out of finding and engaging a suitable Contractor.  

PROJECT OVERSIGHT OR PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Many of our Clients are now happy to proceed with their chosen builder from here.  However for those who want a little more support during this phase we can offer two levels of service tailored to the complexity of your build and budget. We can offer either a basic 'Oversight' service where we make weekly visits to check progress or offer a full project management service.
