Contemporary New Build

Holland and Green were tasked to generate a 3D model of their New Build on the Cornish coast with the aim of reviewing, refining and providing technical guidance on the proposal.

The property had been designed in 2D to fit on a very complex coastal site and had also been constrained because of challenging neighbours and restrictive local planning law.  The property was in the very early stages of construction but review of the 2D plans identified poor layout and detailing and alignment between floors and elevations.  Although approved by the Planning Authority there was little detail for the Contractor and significant ambiguity between drawings which would potentially cause frustration and additional expense during the build and lead to disappointment when completed.  We generated the new property as a 3D model to remove this ambiguity and identify a more fluid and elegant interior layout and external design fit for the location.

Whilst we would always prefer to be brought in at the beginning of the project the client is delighted to have been able to rationalise the layout and doors / windows to create a much more efficient and elegant home that they are looking forward to occupying later this year.
