Planning Permission Granted: Orchard House in Buckinghamshire

Planning permission is an important milestone in every project, so we are always delighted when our projects achieve full planning permission. In case of the Orchard House, the property falls just within the Green Belt and is subject to some of the strictest planning controls in the country.

Our client purchased the property with the intention of replacing the existing house with a truly unique new build home. While Green Belt policies generally prohibit new development, our proposal was successful since Orchard House will be replacing an existing residential building.

Our success was down to close collaboration between the client, ourselves and the planning officer and 3D visualisation highlighting the merit of the design. Together with our in-house Planning Manager, the team was in constant communication with the planning officer throughout the planning application. This way we ensured that no stone was left unturned during the process and the outcome of the application was one that our client and the planning authorities were happy with.
