Park-like garden design
This in-design project draws on the historic architectural elements of the Elizabethan manor house and will blend mature trees and banks of wildflowers with crafted herbaceous borders and a reinstated stream through the sloping lawns.
Meandering paths will explore the grounds beyond the lawns, bordered with vibrant planting beds that will add a sense of movement and texture to the space, while quizzical sculptures are encountered at an occasional junction. Arching hedges and trellises will frame the long-reaching views of each cohesive space.
Ancient trees tower over several benches scattered throughout the grounds and will provide a sense of seclusion and perspective for quiet contemplation. Downlighting filters through the boughs will create a subtle moonlight effect that will soften the garden space in the evenings.
