Woodacre House is a sensitive yet ambitious garden redesign for a period property in the Cotswolds. Our clients sought to reinvigorate their outdoor spaces with a refined outdoor kitchen and secluded hot tub area, alongside a practical reconfiguration of parking — all while preserving the charm and character of the existing setting.
Designing within a heritage context required a carefully considered response. The garden, positioned near a 900-year-old church, demanded subtle screening solutions and discreet spatial planning. We are introducing a pergola, pleached trees, and sunken terraces to create distinct outdoor ‘rooms’ with varying degrees of privacy, without compromising natural light or flow.
The planting scheme evolves across the site, beginning with textured green layers in the shaded front garden and transitioning to soft perennials and calming hues in the more open rear spaces.
