It can generate concepts and explore possibilities at an unprecedented speed, providing a new way to spark ideas and inform early client conversations. In fact, based on the  RIBA AI Report 2025, 60% of firms are now using AI, up from 41% last year.

However, it’s crucial to distinguish this from the intricate work of turning a concept into a buildable reality. AI can produce a compelling image, but it lacks the layered understanding of building performance, materiality, or the unique context of a site that comes only with experience. These images are best treated as concepts — a starting point for the meaningful, human-led design journey where a designer’s insight and experience remain indispensable.
