Last weekend we had the pleasure of exhibiting at Farnham RIBA Design Day, we sat down with one of our partners Stephen Green to talk about why events like this are so important.
What is a RIBA Design Day?
RIBA Design Day is a unique opportunity for architects and interior designers to meet with locals interested in undertaking architectural work. During these events we are able to provide an overview of how we can help you with building work, from developing the initial concept design through planning and onto the building stage. What makes these days unique is that we do this in a very informal way and you will have an opportunity to meet a number of potential practices so that you can evaluate which might be the best fit for you and your project.
Is this the first RIBA Design Day HollandGreen is exhibiting at?
No, we’ve had the pleasure of exhibiting at the 6th Annual Henley RIBA Design Day. What we found very exciting about the day was the range of potential projects that people presented from discussing how best to approach a modernization of a Listed property to navigating planning permission within Greenbelt.
What did you enjoy most about Farnham Design Day?
Meeting lots of new people and learning about the thoughts and ideas they have for their homes and hopefully inspiring them to move forward.
We also loved seeing local designers and suppliers, Owl Lighting caught our eye with their personal and bespoke approach to lighting design. It was a pleasure to learn the story behind Outside and their journey to landscape design. Last but definitely not least, we are grateful to the Myers Touch for sponsoring this years Farnham Design Day and giving us this fantastic opportunity.
