Set within the expansive grounds of a family farmhouse, this garden was designed as a tranquil retreat that celebrates the wild beauty of the Berkshire countryside. The vision was to create a thoughtful, biodiverse landscape for the family to enjoy, transforming lawns, woodland and a natural brook into a series of connected outdoor spaces.
From the house’s elevated position, manicured lawns transition into wildflower meadows that slope gently towards the newly commissioned bridge. Across the brook, a path meanders through the grounds, drawing the eye towards a striking stone sculpture before leading into the woodland beyond.
At the heart of the woodland, a clearing reveals a shepherd’s hut and firepit, creating an inviting destination for socialising in nature. Throughout the landscape, curated wildflower planting provides seasonal colour and texture, establishing a rich, natural habitat for pollinators.
