The ground floor was transformed to create an elegant sequence of spaces for dining and entertaining. A key challenge was the property’s original layout, which consisted of dark, disconnected Victorian rooms unsuited to modern hosting. Our solution was to strategically widen the openings between the principal rooms, creating generous cased archways. This intervention preserves the integrity of the original architecture while establishing a cohesive flow, drawing light and sightlines through the home. A palette of warm greys and burnt ambers defines the scheme, with a striking mural of ‘The Surprise’ by Claude-Marie Dubufe providing a dramatic focal point.
