We collaborated on the renovation of this distinguished heritage property, restoring light, clarity and purpose to previously dark and fragmented living spaces while respecting the building’s historic character.
Originally a Victorian vicarage, the house had been extended and altered over time, weakening its architectural integrity. A detached, oversized garage was replaced with a new, larger garage with accommodation above, now directly connected to the house. Careful attention to scale, proportion and materials ensures the new wing sits harmoniously alongside the original building, reinforcing the overall composition.
We undertook a complete interior transformation of Old Church House, reconfiguring the layout to create a series of light, understated living spaces. The renovation replaced a previously dark and tired interior with a home that balances elegance, comfort and heritage.
Muted, layered textures and restrained colour punctuate the interiors, while carefully considered modern interventions highlight the original architectural features. Bespoke joinery enhances functionality, including a hidden dressing room concealed behind floor-to-ceiling cabinetry in the master suite and a feature wine room adjacent to the kitchen, combining practicality with considered, refined design.
