Old Church House

/ Oxfordshire

A Unique Renovation.

The HollandGreen Architecture and Interior Design teams collaborated on the renovation of this characterful heritage property, breathing new life into the previously dark and outdated living spaces while faithfully restoring and celebrating the historic character of the building.

Formerly a Victorian vicarage, the house had been rather unsympathetically extended and altered over the years. We replaced a bulky detached double garage with a new larger double garage with accommodation above, now directly linked to the house. Careful design, detailing and selection of materials ensures this new wing sits harmoniously alongside the original house.

Elegant, Pared-Back Interiors.

The property underwent a total interior re-design, transforming the outdated layout into a series of muted, pared back living spaces.

Characterful Interior Design.

The HollandGreen Interior Design teams worked on breathing new life with a total interior re-design, transforming the outdated layout into a series of muted, pared back living spaces.

Old Church House underwent an extensive internal renovation and interior makeover that transformed this beautiful but previously rather dark, damp and somewhat tired house into an elegant, light filled home. It’s now bursting with rich, understated textures with occasional pops of colour, with some tasteful modern interventions that highlight the beautiful heritage features of the original building.

Cosy interior living room panelling country house design

The renovated house now also benefits from a range of luxurious additions such as a hidden dressing room concealed behind a secret door within the bespoke floor-to-ceiling joinery in the master bedroom, and a feature wine room off of the kitchen.
